This is a really beautiful place to come and visit. I love all of the different cacti and going through the butterfly exhibit, and the gift shop had all kinds of goodies. My friend had invited me for a nice morning of strolling through the garden and seeing the festivities at the pumpkin festival. We were having a great time, listening to the blue grass band play, picked out a pumpkin, and even got to see little 1 week old pigs. it was time to take the hay ride back and get on with our day. We get to the front of the line and the woman that was orchestrating the hay ride back to home base asked us "Do you have tickets?" and we say no we don't have any tickets. (no one had ever mentioned that we needed any tickets in the first place mind you), and then she asks, "how many children?", and we reply, "we are the children!", in a cheerful state of mind. She continues to ask us to put down our pumpkins right there and we could not have them OR even PAY for them. She said "the pumpkins are for the children....12 or younger." I offered to pay for the pumpkins and i said we were so excited to have picked these exact pumpkins out. POOR customer service. We had no idea that the pumpkins were "just for the children".
Thanks for the hay ride to pick up the pumpkins we couldn't keep.
