  • General Thoughts: Good food, but a little pricey for what you get. Some people may also be thrown off by the fact that they ONLY have Great Dane beer. No other beer. None. But hey there are LOTS to choose from and they have wine so that appeases me. I've ordered the meatloaf and mashed potatoes there twice and it is always delightful and delectable. The service is always fantastic and they are usually pretty quick to bring out the food no matter how busy it is, and it does get busy. The last time we ate there, I was SO pleased because the waiter sat us at least a table away on either side from other people. I just think that is so courteous. When it's not busy, I'd rather not be jammed in a corner with all 10 groups that are eating there at that moment. Our waiter was also super attentive, funny, and just all around awesome. I wish I could remember his name. I would say the food is good. Not AMAZING but good. The bill is always a little more than I think the food was worth, but for a downtown destination with lots of seating, great service, and tons of beer I still think it's worth going there. Definitely recommend especially to those Madisonites who are entertaining out of town guests. Lastly - they have shuffleboard so... two thumbs up for that.
