  • I'll have to return to the Beaches to try to understand the pulse of this place, But here are just some of my thoughts so far. It seems to be a bar at odds with itself. It has a nice resto-pub feel, but lacks attention to detail. I feel compelled to mention that the sometimes misspelled menu uses Comic Sans (font snob, guilty) and that fluorescent posters taped at Dutch angles all over the walls advertising Jäger and Jose shots make me feel that on the right (or wrong) night that this place would be crawling in bros sporting affliction tees, frosted tips and fake tans. There is a decent amount of entertainment planned though the week, including DJs and karaoke. That being said, the food wasn't bad, was inexpensive, they have daily dinner specials (five bucks!), the staff was attentive and it has a certain feel about it that makes me want to go back, to prove my suspicions right or wrong. Lastly, I do like the name.
