Who says Las Vegas does not have a legitimate museum?
Quick Review
+ Artifacts. Interactive displays. Educational lectures. All encased within a glorious building that is older than most found in Las Vegas.
+ Free parking if you like walking. Nothing more American than accessible free parking*. Start looking for it starting two blocks to the east or at the California. (*Yet nothing seemingly diametrically opposed in current day America than walking.)
+ Free museum days** include 14 February every year -- in commemoration of the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre -- and LVMPD community safety fora. (**For locals with valid ID.)
- Possibly lacking that large artifact or artifacts that make it a legitimate destination museum***. (***Although one is brought in from somewhere in Illinois every year for the VD massacre.)
Employee of Excellence
^ Non-applicable. Although, I suppose ole' Oscar Goodman busted his ass more enough to make this all happen. Thus Mayor Martini is the employee of excellence for the time being.

I've been here a few times. Looked around; heard lectures; and, wondered what it must have been to argue in the courtroom. First floor is the gift shop (exit through it) and Law Enforcement [LEO] area. Second and third floors are for Mob business.
Like in the old mob days, there is free parking. Not on-site, but within walking distance. Look for it starting two blocks to the east for street parking, or at the California (https://www.yelp.com/biz/the-california-hotel-and-casino-las-vegas ) which at the time of this review being published sports a broken parking stub machine (which means one can just drive right in). There is parking at the museum, but I wouldn't know how much it is because I don't pay for parking.
Pro Tip: be like the mob, don't pay for parking.
After you've figured out parking, or taken any of the number of RTC routes that lead to the downtown area (BTC is the main transit station and it is walking distance away), stroll in the old Courthouse and enjoy the magic of The Mob Museum.
