  • We have a group of 4 that has done two rooms here now and really like the first, but felt the second needed just a bit of improvement with the actual puzzles unless it is geared towards "first timers". The rooms are easily solvable with just 4 in your group so highly recommended for smaller group sizes (whereas some locations are so unbelievably hard you cannot escape without having ten minds to work together and you feel completely frustrated). The "scary"/horror themes to the rooms are excellent as well. Both rooms we did were quite dark and we loved that setting. Gets you in the right mind for "escaping". We first did the Biohazard room which we loved. Without giving away much, it is very "engaging" and has a great horror movie hostage style theme to begin. The first part is pretty easy to solve and is more of a way to get you really involved in the theme. This is a multi room design and second portion of the game has a few different puzzles that are pretty easy if you do not overthink them. We tended to overthink, but if you just "put it together" instead of making complex math problems out of it they will be easy to solve. The props were excellent in this second portion of the room and really got you involved in the setting. We happily passed with time to spare! On our second visit we did the Zombie Takeover room which we did not like as much. The set design of this room is excellent however and deserves a resounding A+. Uses technology mixed with active puzzle solving and "live action" work as well which gives every team member something to do. We just felt that the puzzles themselves were not quite as fun and we were able to escape without getting one final prop piece we needed because of a slight design flaw. It is possible to escape with the key without finding this final piece so we were a bit confused at that. Should have been setup in a way where you HAVE to find the final prop piece first before getting access to your exit key. There was really only one main puzzle that required a couple of steps but still just one giant puzzle. If you have a large group I feel like not everyone would have something to work on. We like a design where there are separate smaller puzzles so each person can have something to work on and shout about and feel accomplished when they get it. Makes it a bit more frantic and heart pounding. This would be a great room to do then if you have a smaller group that does not have much puzzle experience. It would give them a good confidence booster for being able to solve it. Also feel like "tweens" would love this game for actively involved zombie portion of the game. Great set designs, a lot of thought went into the concept so that you really feel "in" the game.
