  • I would rank The Venetian as one of the better stays on Vegas' Strip. It resides in an ideal location (15 minutes from the airport), and in the middle of all the chaos. For those who love shopping and architecture, I don't think any other hotel beats it. I mean, hot damn, they have gondola's and a mini river inside (hence the name). The first floor has black jack tables, poker, slots, etc... like anywhere in Vegas, but I would say it separates itself from others in the following ways: - The Venetian is connected by their Grand Canal to The Palazzo, and together the campus ranks as the second largest hotel in the world. - The hotel has some of the most notable and iconic sports betting rooms in the city. - 24-hour cafes to soak up dem dranks. - They host more than 40 restaurants. ***** About the stay itself, I stayed in a master suite. My take: I. BED: Soft, yet firm. The sheets felt plush, and I knocked out right away after a long day of traveling. II. BATHROOM: One of the grandest bathrooms I've seen at a hotel. A small, separate room existed just for the toilet. It also had a jacuzzi, his and her sinks, and glass shower with a mirror a few feet away. (I'm not sure what you're into, but it doesn't hurt.) Immaculate. III. AESTHETIC: Dated and dingy. Not going to lie -- our room had a lot of dust and needed a good shampooing, which one should expect in Vegas. (Who knows what's happened there?) IV. PRICES: Prices for hotel rooms range depending on, of course, the time of year, day of the week, and type. Ours was somewhere between $350-400 per night. (I'm still hungover, ok?) V. SERVICE: Professional, however, the person who cleaned our rooms didn't come sometimes. VI: OVERALL: Would I recommend The Venetian to stay? Not sure. I think other hotels on The Strip provide better accommodations, for the price. I wouldn't hate to stay there again, though. If we're talking about shopping and site-seeing, then it's almost unbeatable.
