  • I sent an inquiry after viewing a 2017 CX-5 online. The very next day a lady named Edith called me and we spoke about what I was looking for and what my situation is. She then tells me about a program called keyless start which is basically for Mazda owners that can trade in their older Mazda model for a newer Mazda vehicle, however I do not have a Mazda and that I'm looking to trade in my 2015 Jeep. But then tells me she will do whatever it takes to help me get in that program because that's what she does, she helps people get into better vehicles and into better situations than what people like myself are currently in. We set up an appointment for the next day and explains to me that she'll have me meet with a CX-5 Specialist. When I arrived to the dealer there were customers yelling at a Salesman saying "you just lost a customer!" I should've known right then and there. I walk up to the doors and Edith introduces me to a sales rep named Anthony. I had to explain to Anthony everything I had already told Edith because she forgot what exactly my situation was and what I'm looking for. As I was explaining everything to Anthony, Edith says you're the one with the Mazda lease that's going to end in 7 months right? And I told her no, I'm the one with the Jeep and I'm looking to trade in for a newer vehicle. Before the whole conversation ends, Edith gets up and just walks away, then Anthony pulls out a credit application right away, doesn't show me the vehicle or anything. Then I explain to Anthony that Edith mentioned the keyless start but would help me to get in the program even though I do not have a Mazda. He says well you would need to have a Mazda, does anyone in your family own a Mazda? I said No. Then proceeds to explain other options that they have but doesn't know until they run numbers (understandable). While we wait for my vehicle appraisal and credit score to come back, he tells me that my credit score is something they can work with but it's the negative equity on the Jeep. I told him that I'd like to see what monthly payments would look like even if they exceed what I'm comfortable with. He says well we have a Buick Encore that has a lot of rebates right now. Shows me the Encore... and I explained to him I'm not sure what that is but I wouldn't want to be in it because it's not what I want. Then tells me well if you want to see what the numbers of the CX-5 is going to be then it'll have to wait until tomorrow because the banks are currently closed and I will contact you tomorrow afternoon. I said ok, do you have my number and he says yes it's on the credit app. He shakes my hand and says I'll talk to you soon (doesn't give me his card). Have yet to hear back from him. So I contacted Edith, explained to her that I have yet to hear from him. Tells me to call the dealership and for them to page him and also tells me to let her know what happens. So, I tried calling the dealership, the front desk lady said Anthony wasn't picking up and I could leave a message. Left my name and number and told her I was following up on my application for a CX-5. Afterwards, I contacted Edith and told her I haven't heard from him and she texts me saying call the dealership and ask for Alex... I don't know Alex, he's not the one that was "helping" me. At this point, I'm fed up. Even though they claim they are here to help you, it really seems like they just want to waste your time. Thanks for everything and yet another great experience at a car dealership!
