| - Dropped into the Roy on Civic Holiday Monday, early afternoon, to sate a burger n' beer craving. The waiter was attentive and helpful, and very quick. This was notable, since while it wasn't super busy, he was the only one keeping tabs on the tables and bar. Tried "The Roy" with strip bacon and cheese. The burger was cooked to medium, which I see from other reviews has put a few people off. As the place uses only Rowe Farms beef for their burgers, this was good by me, however the meat itself was a touch bland. The fries were skinny and crispy, done in-house, and a side of mayo for dipping was free (nice touch). A decent selection of craft and local beer on tap, and overall the experience was pleasant. Sadly, though, for the price, the burger and fries at the House on Parliament or Allen's are a much better bet.
