| - Read about The Alley in Air Canada's in-flight magazine, where the article described the house/hand-rolled tapioca available in flavours like chocolate, strawberry, and matcha. Being intrigued with the idea of flavoured tapioca, we decided to check this place out. Unfortunately, the article didn't get it quite right - the tapioca may be hand-rolled, but they just come in regular ol' tapioca flavour (the tapioca is still pretty good though).
Really trendy deer theme, pretty-looking presentation (check out the Aurora series, multi-hued, ombre juices inspired by aurora borealis), and cute ideas like the free speech bubble shaped papers you can write on and slip through your straw for an IG-worthy photo op.
The tea? It's OK. Tried the Royal No.9 Fresh Milk Tea, and honestly can't remember anything about it. Nothing stood out: It wasn't bad, but it wasn't GREAT either. I wish they'd brew their tea a little stronger in taste.
IMHO? Great marketing, mediocre bubble tea.
