| - Expectations were not high on my first visit to Fogo E Brasa. Firstly, because I usually do not associate all you can eat buffets with good quality food. And secondly, because one of my friends badgered me for several days about how he wanted to go to an all you can eat buffet without looking like a loner (and you know, when people bug you about something, it tends to not be as good).
Late in the afternoon, my friend and I met up at the front of Fogo E Brasa. "Looks like a typical restaurant," I thought. But then I noted that all the tables were filled with patrons (we had reservations).
Our waitress explained the rules with regard to the cylinder. The rules are as follows:
- Red on top: Stop, not interested in food at the moment.
- Green on top: I want food.
- Lay the cylinder sideways: I'm done.
The salad bar options include egg salad and a variety of other salads and light pastas... all of them very good.
Moreover, food is served on a sword -- which is presented by the waitstaff. My friend and I sampled the garlic chicken, BBQ chicken, beef ribs, pork ribs, pork tenderloin, sausage, ham, kabob, top sirloin, tri tip, lamb, and chicken hearts.
For what you get (assuming that you are a heavy eater), I would say the price is about right... at about $30 per person.
With regard to the quality of the food -- and contrary to previous reviews -- I would say that it was of reasonable quality. I am a bit surprised with previous reviews that state that the food was of terrible quality (it certainly was not).
