| - STEER AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!! MAKE YOUR MOVE WITH AN HONEST AND QUALIFIED COMPANY. IT MAY SEEM THAT IT COSTS MORE AT FIRST, BUT EXECUTIVE MOVING & STORAGE WILL EXTORT YOU AFTER THEY HAVE POSSESSION OF YOUR BELONGINGS. IN THE END, YOU PAY MORE THAN THE BRAND NAME MOVING COMPANY FOR NOTHING BUT DAMAGES AND HEADACHES. My experience of moving from Reno-NV to Miramar-FL with EM&S:
1. I received a written estimate based on all items that were supposed to be in the truck. Initially, we gave an extra 100cu ft. for cushion, totaling $2,200.
2. They picked up one day before the agreed upon date. I said that I had a two-day window from 09/20/2016 and was not expecting them the day before. The driver said: "If we don't take it now, then you will need to wait 2 weeks".
3. They charged me US$400.00 for custom packaging of my large office desk, very sturdy and expensive, but with glass. Also, this charge included the TV stand which had glass as well. Well, the TV stand has corners all scratched and my office desk is broken at the wood part (legs). The bolts got yanked out of place. I paid this to get my things damaged and broken.
4. When they were almost done, they came back upstairs and said that from 600cu ft., I had to pay for 900cu ft. because my furniture was in the extra-large category, although being just a 2 bed condo. That alone increased my move from $2200 to $3250 + $400 (custom packaging). I am at US$3650 at this point.
5. On 09/27/2016 I get a call that my move is in Miramar and ready to be delivered. I have family at my new place waiting for them. The driver cannot maneuver the 18 wheeler into the gated community, so he calls me. I am on the road, driving cross country with my dog. He is rude, pressuring me to pay $450 at that moment for the shuttle service (where they transfer to another smaller truck). But, due to time zone, he was in Florida and the office in Las Vegas was not open yet. I was in panic, because he threatened me that it would cost an additional $350 if they had to stay one more day. So, at this point I am at $4100, hoping to avoid the other $350.
6. As soon as the office in Las Vegas opened, my business partner took care of a CC authorization for the charge, since I was on the road. They transferred the furniture and delivered at my place.
7. TOTAL DAMAGES:
. 12x9 Favorite area rug, worth over $2k - NEVER DELIVERED - How to lose such a large item is beyond my understanding,
. 50" TV - One year old, in the trash. Beyond repair.
. Large corner office desk all broken,
. Dinette set - One year old, corners scratched and chipped,
. Frame of very large wall art broken and chipped in one corner,
. Out of 17 plastic totes, highly protected with professional moving supplies, 7 in total had to be thrown away. It shows how they handle your stuff. Inside of these 7 totes, many damages that I can't even begin to explain here. I am just disclosing the big stuff.
At this point, I hope that you, potential future victim of EXECUTIVE MOVING & STORAGE read this post and save you and your family from this company that deserves nothing more than a silent phone and empty email inbox.
