| - Loved it here. We were nicely welcomed at the front desk and were quickly given room keys. The villa was new, clean, and nicely decorated. I loved the gas fireplace for ambiance. Starbucks coffee was in the kitchen. Even when traveling I tend to cook most meals, so it was nice that the kitchen had an open concept making it pleasant to cook in. While the resort has a small convenience store on property, there's a full grocery store a walk away...which we drove to. It's truly across the road but in my defense for not walking, we had too many bags to carry back!
The 78 degree heated pools and jacuzzi areas were well maintained with plenty of lounge chairs. They also offer cabanas for an additional charge. Several waiters made the rounds taking drink orders and bringing iced water to each guest.
If this is your first time visiting, I encourage you to go to the welcome breakfast when they bring in local adventure/activity/tour people in to tell you a little bit about what's available. Absolutely no pressure to sign up, purely informational.
They offered a 90+ minute timeshare spiel with an voucher incentive, but we didn't go on one as our time here was too short. They took our "no" graciously.
Unfortunately, it was cool and a bit damp during our stay here, so we sadly didn't get to utilize their lazy river. Next time! The golf course looked pristine, although there are other less expensive golfing options nearby. Probably not as beautiful though. I wish we were here longer, as I would have loved to try out a couple more of their on-site restaurants. The one on the golf course had a great menu and dining area.
The only improvement I would suggest is that they offer guests to borrow their movies for free as opposed to paying $5 for dated, older movie. We ended up renting a new release movie from Redbox, located across the street.
All-in-all, I would come back to the Westin Kierland Villas in a heartbeat. It's absolutely gorgeous!
