| - Our home warranty has sent Pruitts to our house a number of times for a number of problems. Our initial experiences with them were so-so at best. We had a recurring problem with plugged drains which they only fixed temporarily the first 3 times. About the fourth time, a different guy they sent took the time to search for a main drain that was buried under landscape gravel and fixed the problem. In comparison to the past drones they sent out, this guy at least seemed to give a damn. I called Pruitts to let his company know that he did a good job. They were confused by my call and weren't sure what to say. Our more recent experience with them was really poor. We had toilets running and an issue with water pressure dropping. The first guy that came out said he would have to order parts for the toilets and promised to call us in 2 days. No call back, and in fact, when we called Pruitts 4 days later, they told me that the job was done, the work order closed and they had no record of anything on order. They had done absolutely NOTHING! They sent someone else out (now a week after the first visit) who told us the exact same thing.... need to order parts, call you back in 2 days...unfortunately with the exact same result. We had to call them back a week later to check if they were ever going to fix our toilets. When they did finally send someone out, he was surly (either hung-over or just really hated his job) and dripped water from the toilets in a trail from one bathroom to the next. The kicker was that they told us (twice) our water pressure problem would require replacement of a $600 water pressure regulator. When we got a competent plumber from a different company to come in (Pruitt's never did give us a quote for the work, despite 2 requests), it took him less than 15 minutes to show me that the pressure regulator was fine and diagnosed the problem in the water softener that was causing pressure to drop. We asked our home warranty company never to send Pruitts to our home again. They wasted a lot of our time, money and would have done $600 worth of unnecessary work if they were organized enough to follow-up on multiple requests for quotes for the job.
