(Late post)
This review is really about the quality of the food and not about the staff or service.
I took my family here for the Mother's Day special (crab legs and prime rib) that they were having. We live nearby and had not been to the buffet yet so we were really excited to try it for Mother's Day.
I have to say that I was very disappointed in what they had available for an occasion such as the one we attending. With that said, besides the crab legs and prime rib, I'm sure what they were serving is pretty typical to what they serve everyday unless otherwise specified. That's normally what most buffet restaurants do.
Nevertheless, the quality of the items are what I was dissatisfied and disappointed in. It all looked cheap and tasted that way as well. What's worse, were the crab legs! Most, if not all of the crabs legs looked like scraps - crab legs with no actual meat inside of them.
Sounds strange right? That's what I thought. I've never been to a buffet restaurant where each one of my family members would grab a plate of crab legs just to return to our table with what appeared to be 80% of empty crab legs.
The disappointment comes in because the property is so nice. But maybe that's my fault. I have high expectations for the Aliante Resort Casino. I mean, I didn't expect it to be Bachanal at Caesers or Wicked Spoon at the Cosmo but I did pay $25/person and so I wasn't expecting Jerry's Nugget either, lol.
Either way, I will try it again simply because it is by my house. But honestly, that's really the only reason I'm going to give this place a second chance.
