We dined at this AYCE restaurant on 4/11/17 when we were in Las Vegas visiting. Since Todai closed over a year ago, we have been trying to find another Japanese Sushi and Seafood AYCE buffet in Vegas. The restaurant is located about 10-15 minute drive from Elara in a strip mall. Yes, like other reviews, the setting is not the newest and expect somewhat crowded tables sitting just a few feet from the patrons eating at the next table. However, the food at this place exceeded my expectations and is much better than at the Todai that closed in Miracle Mile mall. The selection of sushi, nigiri, sashimi, and hand rolls were vast and tasted fresh and delicious. The other hot food offerings were OK and adequate though the quality of the Ramen and Udon were close to that of Ramen noodle restaurant and much better than one expected from AYCE. The dessert choices were fine with the red bean ice cream surprisingly outstanding. Best value is definitely going during lunch. The weekend price is only a dollar more than week day prices. Overall a great ACYE restaurant with high quality sushi and nigiri. Definitely highlight of our visit this time to Las Vegas finding this gem. Apparently according to the waitress, the owner Makino started Todai and sold the restaurants to some corporations years ago. I guess that makes this one the original restaurant of the subsequent Japanese Seafood AYCE restaurants. Plan to revisit when we return to Las Vegas next time.
