Okay saw this place on the food network and have been wanting to stop by every time we are in Vegas but never got around to it. Well no it we are going to try and make it a regular stop every time.
The location we went to was next to Green Valley Casino its across the street in a little strip mall type area. It is very casual dress and the place is not very big but comfortable. There is a bar area with T.V. in the corner of the place.
The PIE...I have to say that the foundation is the bread crust. It is so doughy and just a little salty but very chewy. Greatest tasting crust I have had since having pizza in Italy. We just the Margherita with buffalo mozzarella it was phenomenal. We wanted to get meat on the pizza but being our first time we just wanted to taste it with nothing but sauce and cheese, the true tell of a good pizza. Nothing to cloud the simplicity of great ingredients.
We had the pear salad with arugula and balsamic glaze and marmalade. It was also very tasty, peppery and sweet. It all blended together very nicely.
My recommendation would be to order two pizza cause one isn't gonna be enough. When you finish the first one your gonna wish you ordered a second.
I would have to say the service was okay. The water we had wasn't very ....hmmmm...helpful. I mean he took our order and brought everything we asked for don't get me wrong. It's just we told him it was our first time there and if he had any suggestions and his response was everyone orders the "insalata grande" which is basically a large salad. I mean with all the salads on the menu that was his recommendation. It wasn't like he had to be excited about his job, but at least try to sell us on something. He could have been a little more descriptive or enthusiastic about the food but it was more a hey I'm your waiter let me know what you want. But he was polite just know you may have to wing it on your first time. Maybe it was his off night or his first night we just wish he was a little more helpful in recommending something.
