| - I was eagerly anticipating this meal, but my experience was very different from the most of the other reviewers. Yes, nice space, friendly service, interesting sake wine flights. But the food ... on our visit, anyway, was awful. We tried 7 small bites. Very interesting sounding on the menu, very ambitious preparations, and fairly priced. But my wife and I later debated which of them was the worst. The crab tempura was chewy, the welk was rubbery, the salad was flavorless, the kobe beef was mostly fat, blech, blech, blech. And we had the duck roll -- sad,dry strips of flavorless duck wrapped around avocado and mango, and tasting only like the goopy, sweet teriyaki sauce. A disaster. Actually, we ordered these dishes first, as we wanted to look at the menu more closely. They were so disappointing, we made up an excuse and left for another restaurant.
Now perhaps, the holiday weekend meant an absence of qualified chefs, or frozen/old material. If so, they should have closed.
BTW, I love Asian cuisine of all kinds and I do understand the fusion concepts in the menu.
