| - So many friendly people, enthusiastic performers, and tasty food options. This festival is a great way to bring people to the neighborhood and showcase local businesses and social services. NASA was there with a cadre of engineers explaining hands-on models. You can get your blood pressure checked, learn about housing and employment, and play endless rounds of Go with the champs. There are cheap imports for sale along side academies of dance and martial arts. Festival sponsors like banks and media outlets are tabling next to competing churches and home-product sales-people. The festival is predominantly East Asian but has a small presence of South Asian culture, too. It's a good chance to learn about new Indian restaurants. I would like to see more cultural activities to participate in at the festival, like language, games, music, art, cooking, or writing. Tell the participating organizations that hosting a little activity is a great way to engage festival-goers. The Asian Festival is quite popular, interesting, clean, and calm, even when the crowd gets pummeled by a downpour.
