| - A pan-Asian grocery store that gets 5 stars for carrying many hard-to-find ingredients at good prices. This includes predominantly Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Filipino foods. Where else in the city can you find fresh calamansi (Filipino mini-lime), or Thai basil all year round? The produce section has quite good quality stuff at standard prices, with a notable selection of exotic mushrooms, fresh herbs, and Asian fruits.
The aisles are replete with pre-made sauces and candies like the venerable Pocky, as well as rice cookers, soy milk makers, etc.. The meat section is notable for its good weekly specials, fatty pork, and exotic fowl selection. We haven't bought fresh fish here, but it has the classic wall of smelly live tanks you expect in an Asian grocery.
The frozen food section has many dim sum items, and is one of the few spots in Calgary where you can pick up frozen broad beans. The refrigerated section includes a number of brands of many Japanese products like jelly fish, shirataki noodles and miso paste.
The bakery has the usual suspects, plus a sizeable selection of warm sweet (e.g. Egg tart) and savoury (e.g. BBQ pork buns) dim sum style items. More dim sum items, sushi, and various take home hot dishes including Chinese BBQ meats are available at a counter outside the main store.
