Ah yeah, Regal doin' it right.
Regal Theatres at Sunset Station has gone ahead and upgraded to the nice luxury style with reclining seats that can be reserved in advance. And they did it in the best way. There are no walls or railing to block your view when you recline. And there is a lot of room to walk past other patrons with their legs out stretched. This is so much different and better than other similar theatres I have been too. I don't like that the seats are leather. They get hot. But they are otherwise comfortable. There are fewer seats in the theatres given the size of them and the space needed to recline but people don't go out to the movies as much these days so a mega theatre seating 300 isn't necessary. An issue arrises when the theatre fills up though. People don't seem to know how to find their seats despite being the ones who chose the seats in the first place. The other night I moved from my reseved seat to make room for a couple whose own seats were already taken by another couple obviously in the wrong row. Regardless, we all had a seat and saw the movie. I think the problem is the rows and seat numbers are not clearly labeled. It confuses people when a number is located between seats and the row letter is about a 2 inch by 2 inch square dimmly lit on the wall. Confussion and all, it was still a good night. But I suppose there is some room for improvement.
