  • I went here for my birthday as a surprise b day gift from my gf and dad. Overall it was great and left me wanting more. I was checked in with a group of like 20 people at my 1000am appt on a sunday. We were checked in and signed our waivers. Guests had to sign it too. There is a snack/drink bar while you wait but I never got to hear what the prices were. After all was said and done we went to a class session which mostly taught us what to expect in the car and how to handle a corner and what the track looked like. Very informative. We all had to move as a group. When class was done we did the simulator which I can say is much harder than the real thing but was much needed. My simulator tutor was kinda curt though. With so much going on and so many orders being said to me, of course the naive driver would make a misstep or two (down shifted twice, didn't accelerate or brake in time etc.). He was annoyed at this and at the end said "you did okay just listen to your instructor more when your on the track" in a 'roll my eyes' kind of way. At the end I felt bad that I spun out, I felt nervous at that point because also because I had run out of time at the end, coupled with a dissatisfied instructor, was I gonna be okay out there? What made me feel better was that a tourist had spun out within 10 seconds and angrily left the machine and said "god I'm just here to have fun!" I figured if he could still be allowed to drive on the track then I should be alright. Came out to the track. Got the helmet on and was introduced to my driver Jay who was a very awesome guy. I had the 458 Italia and I'm not going to get into the technical details but it was fast, handled well and had great brakes (coming from a Hyundai elantra lol). I wasn't pushing it to its limit. Even though I had slammed the brakes Jay said you could have braked harder, even though I felt like I was going to overshoot my corner with such speed. He said you could have gone faster, and I agree because after watching my dad's video, I looked like I was going a speed limit. I had 5 laps and I was chock-full of adrenaline and my arms hurt at how tense and scared I was. But overall I had uber fun, never before had I experienced anything like this before: the G's, the acceleration, the way blood gets pulled from my brain and into my eyeballs while braking. Nothing like it, the day after I am still wanting more. While I had a bad experience with the simulator, I didn't let that ruin the experience. I just wish I pushed my car a lot further. I will come back within this year for sure. And please tip your driver, they expect it and I think it's well deserved.
