| - After reading some of the other reviews here, I decided that I need to cast my vote. We dined here the weekend of 3/14. After eating at some other restaurants, including another "Italian" place, we decided this was easily the best meal we had in LV. As other people mentioned, the staff brings you several mini appetizers to start. They are all traditional Italian preparations. Nothing flashy, but simple ingredients and well executed prep make them shine. We went to Italy for 3 weeks last year, and I would say that the food here reminded us of the real stuff. I had the double cut veal chop that was on special. It was delicious. My wife had a combo of two different pasta dishes which the server was happy to assemble for her by halving two entrees. (I do wish he had mentioned the slight up charge for doing this. It was $2, but it's the principle that matters.) This made her very happy, and the portions were quite large. Service was well-paced and the "captain" did as good a job as one could expect. After asking him to repeat the specials a second time, and then asking him what he would recommend, I feel he certainly did us justice. As far as tipping goes... I have never seen a separate line for the captain's tip. So, I simply ignored it. No big deal. This was a very nice dining experience, and we would go back again.
