| - Wow. Where do I begin. I have never felt this way about any business in my entire life. Let's start from the very beginning...
My AC went out on my car. Simple thing to get fixed right? So I pulled into Ted Weins. I knew I'd spend a couple hundred MAYBE. I walked in and they said my car would be done by the end of the day.. then I called back before they closed and said it would be another two days. WOW. Whatever, I found rides to work to and from the next two days. When I went to pick up Friday before they closed, they said it still wasn't done. So, I said "no we will all stay and get it fixed until it's done.., it's been two days." Low and behold, after I sat there and got stern with them it was fixed in 20 minutes! I went to go over the amount it was going to cost... it was $1900. ALMOST 2K FOR AIR CONDITIONING. CMON. I mean I've never felt so taken advantage of, ever.
The story gets better.
About two weeks after this horrid experience, my car broke down on I-15! Mind you, my car has never had any troubles, but after my stop at Ted Weins it's been horrible. My car started smoking and thankfully my boyfriend was there to help push it out of the heavy traffic flow.
I asked several mechanics for opinions on the matter and they said whoever touched my car last really effed it up.
I obviously have warranty at ted weins since the recent $1900 transaction for my air conditioning, so I went back to get a free of charge service out of my near death experience. They said it's now my coolant that caused this incident which is not under warranty. Another $490. I MEAN CMON. I just spent 2K three weeks ago there, my AC still won't work, and now they want 500$?!
So I obviously need a car. So go for it Ted Weins. They said it would be ready in 2 hours.. I came back 4 hours later... they said they accidentally just broke a ring they just bought so it will be another hour....
I have a job where I need to get to and from and this has been the BIGGEST inconvenience. No help with cost or reimbursement from the many trips I've taken across town to get my car after they said it was ready, or the hours on the side of I-15 trying to get my car to start. I have never been so upset.
The only good thing was that the REAL Ted Weins the third called me back after I left him a voicemail, not sure what he's going to do at this point, but he did make the effort to at least call me and ask what was wrong.
Otherwise, horrible HORRIBLE experience. I honestly question if any of these people are actually qualified to work on vehicles. So if you're looking for a job, have no experience, or compassion for people, go apply here!
My family will be canceling the company account here most likely.
You will have more problems than you started with coming here. I promise you.
