| - Honestly it sucks to be writing this review because when we first found it, Odd Fellows used to be our little "hidden gem" and we loved it so much. Recently, it's really gone down hill in every way, but mostly the customer service.
I get that working with drunk people all night might require you to be a certain way- a little firm, maybe a little authoritative, etc. but this is on another level. Odd Fellows used to be a fun little "home" for my friends on a night out, and now it feels cliquey as hell and totally ruins the vibe downtown. Just one example- they literally picked SOME of our friends out of our group and then played manipulative, weird mind games with the rest of us- saying "you're not with those girls" they had just let in, and then acting like we were in the wrong line all of a sudden when it was the same line they just pulled our friends in from, who were standing with us. It was incredibly frustrating and felt very discriminatory. Later, that specific bouncer apologized to one of my friends, which validated our feelings of being mistreated, but by then all of us were so frustrated that the night ended anyway.
There are several other unpleasant features about this place now, including the moody bartenders and tired music, but it pains me to say that Oddfellows is hardly the gem it used to be.
