Boyce is definitely the best place to teach a beginner. My 5 year old grandson wanted to ski. I found group lessons at 7 springs to be worthless. Lots of time waiting for his turn to ski down a tiny 4 Foot bump. Next try was Hidden Valley private lessons . Private Lessons are quite expensive at $160 but he did learn the basics and the young girl teacher quite good. ( girl instructors are best for little boys) . Boyce turned out to be the perfect place. The private lessons were only $30 and Susan was a wonderful teacher. The slopes were also the perfect gradient for a little boy. By the end of the day I was hearing "follow me Pap Pap " and didn't even need to help him on or off the lift carpet. They have a small eatery here with surprisingly good lunch type food .
