The Westin gets five stars for being flexible, friendly and accommodating to this working mom. I'm a breastfeeding mother who was on my first business trip away from my child. I arrived at 7:30 in the morning after taking a red-eye and during my stay requested access to a private room before check-in and access to a freezer.
The Westin staff went above and beyond to help out and even offered to move my luggage into my hotel room once it became available so that I didn't have to leave my convention session.
Everyone I encountered including the cleaning lady on floor 21 and the guy who delivered a refrigerator to my room was prompt, helpful and friendly, even at 4 a.m as I was leaving the hotel.
For a city-dweller who doesn't mind walking, the Westin was also within 30 minutes stroll to a great weekend farmer's market and the Mattress Factory, a contemporary art museum. We had delicious soul food at Carmi Family Restaurant. Overall I was pleasantly surprised by the convenience of the location to arts, culture and good food.
