My husband was looking forward to trying Mesa Grill, so it was the first meal of our trip. We were seated right away for our 7:15 reservation. The waiter and other staff were attentive without being overbearing, and I loved the spacing between courses. You won't have to give up your whole evening to this place (but you're welcome to if you'd like) but you will also never feel hurried.
We started with the queso fundido, which was a delicious introduction to the southwest flavors on the menu. I ordered the scallops, which were lovely, but the grits underneath were the showstopper. If I could have ordered a side of just those, I would've done it right then - so good! My husband agreed and stole the few bites I was willing to share. He ordered one of the steaks and reports that it was excellent.
I loved the raisin bread and corn muffins served before our meal. Overall, a great experience.
