Small crowded place but comfortable area in the back for seating. We had ressies, so seating was not an issue. Great happy hour and daily specials. We started with some appetizers and chose the deviled eggs the were accompanied by some spicy pickles and green beans. They were amazing and one of our favorite items if the night. We also ordered the pimento cheese appetizer which was a bit spicy but uniquely delicious.
For our entrees we chose the lobster roll with Cajun fries and the whole snapper with veggie hash. The lobster roll had not only lobster, but also shrimp and crawfish. The seafood was very tasty, but the roll was hard and chewy and got tossed to the side. The whole snapper was presented beautifully on the plate with the veggie hash. The hash was very good but I felt the fish needed a bit more flavor. After carefully removing the inedible parts and bones, I mixed the fish with the hash and some Crystal hot sauce and it was quite enjoyable. However, I probably wouldn't order it again as it was a bit of work and there are too many other items I would want to try first.
Our server was very friendly and we chatted throughout the evening about good food locations all over the country. Our server was helpful and efficient from beginning to end.
In summary, this was a good meal but not quite the level of New Orleans cuisine we are accustomed to. But this is probably as close as we can get right now in the Burg, so we will take it!
