  • So I have a lot to say about American Airlines. I am not even sure if your going to feel like reading my book. First of all I have not flown American Airlines in over 15 years. I decided to give them a try. I am normally a Southwest kinda girl. I decided to fly with American Airlines because they were Cheaper than Southwest and two bags still fly free! I was impressed with a few things that American Airlines did... I loved how they sent an email to inform you about the weather and offer you to switch your flight for free. That was awesome. The point that you get to pick your seat before you get on was cool. You don't feel so rush or like its a fight and you still have the option to upgrade your seat to first class. The flight attendants and the pilot on the plane is so cool. They have good Customer Service. I won't take away the plane ride and how comfortable I was. I even enjoyed the other passengers and the great conversations that I had. But this is where it gets complicated.. I was flying back from Cuba and I left my cell phone in my bag that just got checked. The customer service agents at the front desk in Cuba were kinda rude. Everybody shrugged their shoulders and act like they did not care. It was an Oh Well... I don't know if they did not understand me because I spoke english and they were fluent. I than noticed that not only I left my Visa in the back so I had to get it back. I had to get a manager to get my stuff. He was not the nicest either but he attempted to get my stuff. I guess also he had no other choice because I could not get thru customs. When the manager asked for my receipt from the agent that checked my bags.. We looked at it and the whole time MY BAGS were checked in under the wrong name and going to the wrong city. I still don't know HOW or WHAT happened but I just thank GOD that I left my cellphone and noticed it was gone before if not I WOULD have NEVER gotten my stuff back and I don't PLAY about my stuff. The craziest thing is that once I arrived at the airport there was a girl that had the same thing happen to her. Her stuff went to Miami and her sticker for her bag had somebody else name on it. She had a different front desk agent that I had so I am not sure if this was a inside job or if two people that work at American Airlines make these common mistakes often. So I got all of my stuff so I am not complaining but I have also learned a lesson from this. I will check my stuff carefully. Never trust another Customer Service Agent. They make mistakes and sometimes could be doing fraud because they are not happy with their job or their pay.
