  • Service ninja awarded. This is one of those rare occasions where I'm happy I haven't gotten around to reviewing this place before now. Market 17 is just down the street from my most frequent temporary Calgarian abode and over the years it's kept me in virgin coconut oil and over priced chips. Up until this point it was a solid and enthusiastic four stars. But on this particular visit, this little bodega stands a cut above. I'm in town for a somewhat sad reasons and this place has been a life saver. First off, I flew in from Scotland and jet lag is kicking my ass. This place had all the holistic whatnots to keep me upright my first few days. From jet lag tablets to coconut water - I loaded up on the good stuff. But where this place lands that coveted five star spot is through their service ninja extra add ons. This place went the extra mile and I love them for it. First off, they were out of Emergen C. No problem, one of the staff rustles up five packs and hands it to me free of charge. Because they have kombucha on tap, I've been popping in here most mornings. Each time someone asks me how my grandma is. Excellent personal touch. They're cheerful, genuine and informative. They've definitely landed as my go to for holistic whatnots and organic business. And staff, if you're reading this: Thanks for checking in every morning. It truly means a lot.
