  • All I can say is, AMAZING. So amazing, it prompted me to sign up for YELP and write my first review. Since going to Ticoz for our first date, my wife-to-be and I have eaten at Ticoz many times for other special occasions. The food, drinks. and service are always top notch. This review is to call them out for yet another wonderful, more specific, experience in which they helped us to surprise our friends at the VERY LAST minute. We now live out of town and were flying back into Phoenix to surprise our friends for a few days. We asked them to attend a "tasting" at Ticoz and told them one other couple would be joining them for the tasting and that the Ticoz staff was aware that we were sending friends to the tasting. Our plan was to arrive at Ticoz before our friends so that we did not have to involve the staff in our plan. However, when our flight was late and we had issues with our car rental reservation, we had no choice but to call Ticoz and ask for their help to save the surprise. The staff literally handled this situation on the fly (we called as our friends walked into the restaurant!) and acted as if our friends were attending a true tasting. They provided them with the delicious guaca-hummus and salsa assortment and mini-margaritas for tasting. They even went as far as to describe the ingredients and how each dish was created. They were able to stall our friends for at least 20-30 minutes until we finally made it to the restaurant for the surprise! To top it all off, they offered us churros for dessert to commemorate our occasion and our wedding engagement. Afterwards, our friends told us that they had no idea they were being stalled and that the staff handled the last minute situation like pro's. We could not be more thankful for their help when given this difficult task, as it made our long awaited meeting with out friends happen. Many thanks to a wonderful staff for ongoing service and food. Any time we are back in the area, we will be sure to stop back in for blue-corn enchiladas and tamales (among other things). :)
