| - First off, I rarely take the time to write reviews for anywhere.
Second, I have never taken the time to write such a lengthy one. (That should say a lot.)
I called two places while I was searching for a U-Haul associated storage unit near my apartment. The first place I called, that I found by typing U-Haul into my phones map app, seemed fine, nothing special. It would do the trick, but when I went on the U-Haul site to get some information I forgot to ask about, that location did not pop up as one of their options. That was a little strange. So I decided it was best to call the next location, on the U-Haul site, closest to my apartments. The moment my call was answered I received some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. The man (Lee) listened to what I was looking for and was able to give me straight forward answers. Even while he was looking up available units and prices/deals, he took the time to example how this facility worked. From the gate system and hours, to the alarm system, the air conditioned units, management living on site, and letting me know I could come check it out to get a better idea of the location. I knew I would not have to call anymore locations. The next day when I went into the office to rent a unit, I lucked out because the same man (Lee) who answered the phone was working! As soon as I walked in I was greeted cheerfully, NOT brushed off like a lot of places do, even though he was working with another customer. When he was done politely talking to that customer, which also showed me he was not just being fake to the stranger who walked in the door (me), he promptly attended to me. Again he listened to what I was looking for, then offered to show me the two different sizes of units I was considering. Had a very friendly conversation on the walk over to the in-door units, saw both, explained the pricing difference between the two and I made my pick. Easy. We went back to the office to fill out and go over the paper work, forfeit my mula over, and breakdown that final steps of how the lock and gate worked. I called my mom right away and told her about how wonderful Lee's service was!
Yes, I am obviously overjoyed about Lee's natural, perfect attitude and service! He was great! Stay golden Lee!
I also want to add that Lee's awesome attitude was not a way to overcompensate for the state of the facilities. I have been to many places where the service is great, but the actual location is trash. As if people think being extra nice is going to make up for the fact the place is old, overpriced and crawling with bugs. This is definitely NOT the case with this StorageOne location. Everything is kept very well maintained. Outside is kept very clean, along with the building with indoor units and the units themselves. There were no weird smells and no bugs! Since I have been apartment hunting for the past couple weeks, I know the drill of showing the nicest, cleanest, most updated model to trick potential residents to thinking they are getting the most amazing deal ever. But when you actually get the keys to your actual apartment, the place looks like a creepy motel room. Not the case with StorageOne. The unit that Lee showed me and opened up so I could get an idea on the size, was the EXACT unit he rented me.
