Took my car in for rear brake pads replacement and asked for the basic option. Byron, the service rep, tried to talk me into upgrading to premium option for $50 more but I refused. He ordered the basic pads and got the part which comes in a green box about 10 minutes later. Before they install the new pads Byron suggested to me again if I want to upgrade and this time I agreed as he said the premium pads are better for my SUV. However he didn't order the premium pads and I saw the technician install the pads from the green box that was delivered earlier. I later picked up the empty box from the garage floor and verified it has the basic part number. I checked online and confirmed the premium part should be in a blue box so I questioned Byron. He insisted that the premium part is installed. I said that I would go home and remove the pads to check and threaten to sue him if I find the basic part was installed. He backed out then ordered the premium pads and had his technician replaced them. They didn't even resurface the rotors as was listed in the job order.
