Top quality, fresh fish with sashimi platters to rival the best. Looking for the classic Nobu style dishes (like yellowtail jalapeƱo, miso cod, etc.) for literally less than half the price as well as dishes with a unique twist. The trout sashimi with all sorts of goodness including a sprinkling of poprocks was fantastic.
The Chef-Owner made the rounds chatting with folks. When he came to our table he spoke with such passion it's no wonder the food is so amazing. We even learned something new from him. He shared that mackerel (Saba) mate in the summer, so by nature their fat and nutrients are stored and used for biological purposes. Which by default makes them less flavorful. He indicated he will be bringing in Japanese Saba come fall when mating season is over. Who knew?
Decor wise expect your typical trip mall restaurant, but the friendly, attentive staff and amazing food make this spot worth visiting on a regular basis. We will be back; likely once a week.
