Came in on a Saturday afternoon, my experience was decent until it was time to pay. My visa debit card was considerably faded. I handed it to the man doing my nails and he immediately said they don't take "that kind" of payment. I explained to him that it was a debit card and it was simply faded. He then began telling me to go next door and get cash. I began telling him that if I go next door, I'm not coming back. He began getting frustrated. He asked for my ID and he took it from me and then began showing other nail technicians to see if they can read the name. I eventually told him just try to run my card and if it doesn't work then I'll go get money. After he eventually swiped my car and not only did it approve but my name appeared on the line to sign on the receipt... that matches my ID. I thought that would end the madness but then he began writing all the info on my ID on a piece of paper. That is when I began to lose my temper and snatched the paper from him and asked him what he was doing. He said he had to double check and make sure that I was who I said I was. As a black women, I felt like I was discriminated against because I know he would not have done that to one of his white customers. It should never be a hassle to simply pay.
