One of my top 3 dining experiences ever. I had heard of this restaurant and I was saving it for a special occasion.
My boyfriend's birthday was the winning date. I wanted to celebrate him and he is a big steak lover so I couldn't wait.
We get there.. love the ambiance.. I feel like I'm temporarily in a different decade, honestly and I like it. They kept the history of the place in tact.. their menu states that among their guests, Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra used to frequent this place, and it was cool to feel that for a second.
Next, the service was great from every angle. Everyone we interacted with was top level. Seemed to really enjoy what they do and take pride in their service. I appreciate great service.
Now, for the food and drinks- I ordered the first cocktail on the list, forget the name but it was the best drink I've ever had.. so I'll need to revisit because I'm usually not a cocktail girl. My bf drinks beer but he's a beer snob and he was happy too ;)
We ordered the Alaskan crab as an appetizer.. delicious. I had the filet and lobster for my meal and I couldn't have been more pleased. Incredible presentation and taste.
He had NY Strip and he mirrored my feelings.. we both shared that we were both more than impressed with this dinner.
The sides were good, recommend the twice baked potatoe.
As it was his birthday, they treated him to a piece of cheesecake and a pretty cool birthday candle.. and that ended the perfect celebration of my sweetie's birthday dinner. The experience will be among my favorites.
