| - I recently moved to Scottsdale, and after feeling the painful loneliness of adjusting to a new city, I decided it was time for a furry companion. So after visiting the Agua Fria freeway Petsmart location, I found what I thought to be a great fit. She was a bit timid, but warmed up after time. The next day I came to make sure she was going to be the perfect fit for me for the next 20 years. However, after she did not warm up at all in the next visit, and once a volunteer told us that she was extremely vocal, I heartbreakingly knew she would not do well in my apartment. So upon leaving, I overhear another one of the workers complaining about me, even saying: "if she came again, she should not be allowed to see her after spending all that time with her". With something that is already such a hard decision, it really upset me that someone would be that insensitive about not being able to adopt her. All I was trying to do was be a responsible adopter and not have to adopt an animal just to return it down the road; it would be unfair for both the animal and human.
