This company's "10 year warranty" on parts is completely false. They inflate labor or "shop supply" fees to cover the cost of the warrantied part!
Our garage door would not open and we could tell one of our two black tension springs was broken. Precision Door Service had replaced this EXACT same spring on the door back in 2010, so we called them again since this part was covered under a 10 year parts warranty as indicated on our previous receipt.
I called at 4 pm and Jeff said they could have a technician out by 6 pm. No one called or showed up so we called back at around 6:30 pm. Jeff said the technician had just finished a job and was on the way. We had to call 3 more times (each time they told us the technician was on the way) when finally a technician showed up after 9 pm!
Just to compare, our previous receipt from 2010 showed that they replaced TWO tension springs at $99/each, 12 neoprene volleys at $99, and $29.99 for shop supplies for a total with tax of $354. The bill for THIS visit in which they replaced ONE spring that was supposedly covered under warranty was $165!!! A $165 labor fee to replace ONE spring after arriving 3 hours late? This place is unreputable with no real warranties.Their pricing is inflated with hidden charges and service fees. I would not recommend them to anyone.
