| - If I had the ability to give one business in the world a "Do not go out of business" card it would be Allegiant Airlines. Does that mean Allegiant Airlines is my favorite business in the world? Hmmm.....Do I give them 5 stars? Are they perfect? No, but I love Allegiant.....
I have a love affair with Allegiant because they are the only non-stop flight to my home in small town Wisconsin. The fare is also much lower than any other flights available to me. I've flown them round trip 5 times this year & just one flight was delayed for a few hours. Not ideal, but better than changing planes every time I fly.
My biggest gripe is the crowded seating. Some genius found a way to cram the maximum number of seats in the older model planes they use. Thanks a lot. Now add seat backs that don't recline (heck, if they did they'd hit the passenger behind you in the face!). But I love Allegiant, right, so I'm a good girl & try not to complain. I'll scootch around to my right, then scootch to my left, slide down in my seat, then sit up nice & straight, hold one leg up to my chest, the other, then both, stand up in the aisle, walk around in the aisle, & of course take a break & use the restroom. Then, yup, I'm the one who stands in the aisle & does a few stretches. Before I know it 4 hours has been used up & I haven't gone 10 minutes without changing positions. Oh, I love Allegiant....
TIPS:
*Follow the rules with carry-ons & personal items. They mean it!
*If you've bought Trip Flex you're allowed to switch your travel dates just once. Only if you do this by phone will you be allowed to purchase Trip Flex again for the new flight.
*If you've bought your ticket but now decide you want to add bags do this by phone. Otherwise you'll be charged a higher fee by doing this online.
Oh no, I haven't told you how long you have to wait to reach Allegiant by phone! Thirty minutes or so is about the usual but it can easily go longer than that & is almost never less than that. But I love Allegiant......
Lastly: I had a question so I wrote an email & was told I'd get an answer within 24 hours. Today, 29 days later, I received an answer. Allegiant Airlines, that is my last straw; I cannot give you 5 stars!!!
