  • First off.. This is now GANLEY BUICK GMC... NOT PETE BAUR. I am ambivalent about my experience. I was sold a car without the options that I made it VERY clear were non-negotiable. I explicitly stated that I needed a car with native navigation (not just OnStar. Yet the car I was sold does not have native navigation. It has Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Great! EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT I REQUESTED NATIVE NAVIGATION. I called the dealership the very next day. I do NOT understand why I could not have traded out for what I wanted. I was offered myriad excuses as to why it was impossible (which I do not believe, I had the car less than 16 hours). They were rid of the car and did not want to make this right. The dealership's solution? First I was told by the salesperson to buy a navigation unit aftermarket. Which I discovered by calling several high end audio places was not possible (I would lose most OEM functionality). And I was later told by the dealership GM that doing so would void my warranty. The final resolution? They bought me a free standing navigation unit. A lovely gesture, but not the same. Am I happy with my car? NO. I now have a 72 month albatross around my neck. They should have given me the car that I wanted, instead of saddling me with 'close enough'. I believe that they thought that Android Auto/Apple Car Play was interchangeable with native navigation, however it is decidedly not. It is dependent upon having a smartphone. And I did not want that, I wanted NATIVE NAVIGATION. My sales person was very pleasant, a lovely person actually as was the GM. However, at the end of the day I am not pleased with the resolution. But... Since dealerships have all of the power and buyers have none there is not much that I can do.
