| - Great food (very tasty! wide selection, decent prices), good service, neat place!
Two bros, my bae, and I went here for a Wednesday night dinner. Certainly the beautiful weather and the presence of my favorite people improved my appraisal of the place, but I think it still would have been a 4-star experience in the winter, with mediocre company.
I tasted:
Poutine (appetizer) - Awesome! great seasoning, still pretty crispy for a while after it came out and only the most "gravy-laden" fries got mushy by the 15 or 20 minute mark.
Cheese Curds (appetizer)- Solid, can't complain! Only tried 2 curds.
Calamari (My gf's entree) - The few rings that I snagged were fantastic. The marinara was plentiful too and I even got to steal some of her sauce for my sandwhich
A cajun chicken sandwich with an extra chicken breast and a side of plantains (My entree) - Loved the plantains! Since this was my first experience with roasted plantains, I'm not sure if they were cooked particularly well or if I just love plantains as a food. The chicken was very well seasoned, very tasty, though a bit smaller than the average restaurant's chicken breast. The specially made Great Dane Chipotle Mayo turned out to be a pretty good dipping sauce for my extra chunk'o'chicken.
Good choice! We'll probably bring a party of 13 here over the coming weekend.
