  • New location (though supposedly temporary 'til they find another location in the area) for the Preloved brand. For those unfamiliar with Preloved, they take vintage clothes and fabrics, cut 'em up, and make pretty new things. Each item is one-of-a-kind. On my last trip, I got a sweater dress made from reclaimed wool sweaters, a jacket made out of old trenchcoats, and a pair of short pants made of several different pairs of men's trousers. I love finding cute, unique items of clothing that I know no one else will have. The clothes are pricey (expect to spend anywhere from $50-$200 on each piece), but you can find fab deals on sale. Preloved has another location on Queen Street W, but since this store is new and less known, the selection is less picked over and has more items in sizes L and XL. They also offer a small selection of children's clothes and home accessories in the same "reclaimed fabrics" style.
