Fun hike. Trail isn't marked once you start having to climb. I would find it impossible to get "lost" because you just keep going up until you hit the peak. My dog could've made the hike but I left him at home. We did run into a few dogs of all sizes but I wouldn't recommend it. Not a chance I would do this hike in summer. We made the round trip in 3 hours and even spent some time chatting with people we knew at the top. Stay safe!
