This ain't no vail or aspen slopes... neither is it any close to 7 Springs. But for less than one third of the 7 spring cost and only about half hour drive from Pittsburgh vicinity - this place is a winter Wonderland especially for beginners. The park has a ski lodge along with a small cafeteria and obviously an equipment rental area as well.
If you're not into skiing or snowboarding, they do have a pretty large separate tubing area as well. As for the skiers and snowboarders - there's a decent sized beginners area which can be accessed through the magic carpet. And for the seasoned riders - there's the Adam's run. The only lift in the park will take you to the top. But once you're at the top - there's 4 (from what I can recall) different trails to get down. One of the trails also has numerous snowboarding ramps for those interested in working on their snowboarding skills and tricks.
I would definitely recommend for anyone ... beginners and seasoned riders alike to give this place a chance. But if you're just learning how to ski or snowboard - look no further or should I say drive no further and definitely spend no further.
