I think worse than getting mediocre food is getting mediocre food from a place that you've really enjoyed. Thwarted expectations are disappointing. I've eaten at the Chicago Brewing Co. outlet in the 4 Queens downtown. This was my first visit to their full restaurant / brewery. The beer, as always, was good, but the food was not. I started with an enchilada soup that was okay. Then I got a pizza. There was something wrong with the crust. First, it was under-done, but more, it was like a biscuit dough, not a bread/pizza dough. A really strange consistency. I've always enjoyed their pizzas downtown, this was not that. Their topping was heavy on cheese, light on meats.
