| - I want to say I love this place, but the food was not amazing so I've gotta give it only 3 stars.
Their patio is fantastic - private, twinkle lights, off the street, enclosed, just awesome.
Their wine list is impressive.
Their wait staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
But my meal was not fab, I'm afraid. Maybe we chose poorly.
For an appetizer we ordered the chili shrimp, which had 6 shrimp with an Asian ginger based sweet heat sauce, and the shrimp were really good. But for $14 that's more than $2/shrimp and they were not very big shrimp. Also, why the Mexican blue corn tortilla chips as the accompaniment? That was an odd pairing (but I know it's just cuz it made the plate look bigger and more stylized. Still, the Food Network has taught me that everything on the plate is meant to be eaten, and together, so I think they could've gone with a different edible decoration).
For entrees we ordered two of the flatbread pizzas, and both we disappointing. The flavour profiles were a bit strange, the chicken was dry, the "spicy" was non-existent, etc.
But still, we had a great time, and did I mention I love this patio?
So give it a try, just maybe order a pasta or something.
Oh, and totally check out my pic of the wine descriptions- every one of them is hilarious!
