Ugh...did I not just have the worst experience ever with David's.
I had a visit to the store in May just to try on gowns, the place was packed on a weekend date...a bit chaotic actually. But the consultant was helpful enough to show me a few gowns...however I decided to order a gown they don't have coz the long order time it requires.
I just paid another visit to the store last Friday just to shop for a sash and a slip. So they apparently don't have too many sashes in stock for you to purchase on the spot...I mean the ones in white or ivory. And it actually takes up to 8 weeks to order a sash...WHAT???? I could have driven over to NYC to get one and forget abt the crazy wait time.
Fine...then moved onto slip. Again they don't have new ones available in the size I was looking for...at that point I started to think what this store could sell really. But the consultant was nice enough to offer 10% discount on the slip...so fine since I needed it for my wedding in Sept I had no time to go around much.
After I made the payment, the consultant squeezed the A-line gown slip into a way too small plastic bag...so I asked if she had a bigger one at least. She told me they ran out of bigger plastic bags...duh???!!! Better yet, as she was trying to staple the receipts together neither of the staplers worked!!!
Forget this...if I wasn't in such a hurry to get all my stuffs done I would never bother to set foot in the store any more. So my advice for you to consider shopping at David's...really have to go way ahead of time, who knows how long it can take to get the items you are looking for. They do have decent selections of dresses but to get all the accessories together the wait time can really be a pain in the butt.
