  • I usually stay in condo resort-type hotels, but if I were to stay in an actual Strip hotel, the Paris would be a strong contender. This is probably in my top 5 favorite hotel/casinos in Las Vegas. The thematic decor, with its fake blue skies, comes across as completely charming, but it's pretty easy to navigate around. The Eiffel Tower is a bit silly, but worth doing once or twice, especially if you have a 2-for-1 coupon, which are common. Timing your visit to see the Bellagio fountains and the Strip light up at dusk, is a great idea. The bakery has delicious and decadent desserts, and when I tried the buffet a few years ago, it wasn't bad (although I've decided I am not a buffet person). The location is smack dab in the middle of the Strip, so very convenient. My only two complaints is that the cocktail waitresses' uniforms aren't very attractive and that I've never had much luck at the casino. Although, I did win $10 at VP last time, so maybe my luck is changing!
