| - This is one of the reasons my wife and I do not trust Diamond Resorts and never believe what we're told. Just received a call stating that I had $850 in expiring credits (which I had no idea about). Knowing it's the end of the year, I stopped what I was doing and took the call. On hold for 5 minutes, go through lots of preliminary information, which they already have on file, but he's insisting on getting.
After pressing the agent for more information, I'm finally told I can use the credits on a number of destinations--but not one of the ones I truly want. He sends me to another "supervisor", who informs me of an alternative choice. I'm okay with it. Then he tells me how lucky I am to be able to take advantage of this great vacation opportunity for only $795. Finally I stop him, and ask if I truly have a credit, or do I have to purchase another vacation to get it. Finally he say, "yes" I need to purchase something else. I say no thank you and hang up. The exchange would be listed under customer file #L273226.
15-20 minutes of my time away from what I was doing.
I was misled, AGAIN, by Diamond predatory selling tactics. I never had a real credit, nor was it expiring.
And THIS is why I have such a problem with Diamond Resorts practices.
