I can honestly say that my experience with Virgin America today was the worst customer service experience of my life!
My flight from Las Vegas to LA was cancelled due to "mechanical issues". I found this out when swiped my card in the self check in kiosk. No e-mail, phone call, or text to tell me my flight was cancelled. So, I had to get into a line with around 10 people in front of me. It took well over an hour to get through this 10 person line. Virgin had 4 customer service agents "helping" passengers. Every time a first class passenger would show up, the customer service agents would help the first class passenger while ignoring the coach class. Once I finally made it through the line, the far less than friendly agent waved me over, as there were no more 1st class passengers to help. Luckily she was able to get me on another flight with trusty old Southwest Airlines. After dealing with a cancelled flight, and waiting in a 10 person line for over an hour, you would think Virgin would issue a voucher or discount for another future flight. Nope! Nothing!! Absolutely nothing! Not only nothing! The "customer service" agent could not have been anymore rude during the entire interaction. She never bothered to apologize about the fact that I did not receive the service I payed for! Virgin and their "customer service" agents fail to recognize the fact that people have existing appointments that cost their passengers money. I payed for a service to be back home so that I could follow through with important appointments, and Virgin did not follow through with our agreement. I cannot believe the fact that no form of compensation or apology was offered!! I will never fly Virgin Airlines ever again!!!
